After graduating with a degree in Graphic Design, Ali moved to Atlanta and has found inspiration there ever since. Beginning her rewarding career in advertising provided experience in print and online media — and as a Creative Director, afforded collaboration with many of the finest talents in the industry, both behind and beside the camera. Because of this background, she shoots with a discerning designer’s eye, finding inspiration among the details.

A year ago, Ali, her husband, Matt, along with their rescue-pup Ellie, built their “forever home” in the sustainability-focused community of Serenbe. She is passionate about organic living, and has found her niche photographing farm-to-table food, lifestyle stories about local artisans and makers, simply styled narratives, and of course, beautiful southern weddings. She particularly loves to collaborate.

With many years logged in the darkroom, Ali prefers to shoot with film— not only because of it’s soft, luminous look, but more importantly because it allows her to connect and interact with her subjects more thoughtfully. Her goal is to create photographs that are timeless, images which have a story to tell. Not just one moment, but a series of moments — documenting your wedding day as it naturally and organically unfolds around you, your family and dearest of friends.
